Our FPA-PAC is a vital component of our organization's greater advocacy efforts and the only PAC that supports financial planners. Through our FPA-PAC, we are able to make our collective voice heard on issues such as the recognition and regulation of our profession.
We must ensure our voice is heard loudly and clearly in the halls of Congress. This is imperative because if we are silent, the other side wins 100% of the time.
When you contribute to our FPA-PAC, you are supporting candidates for the US Senate and the House of Representatives who have influence over financial issues the FPA believes are critical to advancing our profession. As a result of our recent Washington DC Advocacy Day, we were able to meet with our legislators and garner eighteen new sponsors for HR1627 (The Investment Adviser Examination Improvement Act of 2013) and make it a bi-partisan bill.
