FPA Residency Program

The Career Development Committee is pleased to offer two $2,000 scholarships to individuals that will be attending The Financial Planning Residency at either the University of Georgia or University of California – Irvine.

This program offers an intensive client-centered training experience using comprehensive and detailed case studies. Residency participants are eligible for 28 hours of CFP® Board continuing education credit or three months of financial planning work experience.

To be eligible for this program, you must have completed a required CFP® Board-registered program and be eligible to sit for the CFP® Certification Examination; be a newly certified CFP® practitioner or a candidate for CFP® certification; or be a CFP® professional who has held the designation for three years or less.

To be eligible for the scholarship, you must meet the above criteria, be an active member of FPA of Minnesota, and complete an application (including two letters of support and an essay).
