FPA of MN Book Club – September 14

September 14, 2023 @ 4:00 pm - 5:15 pm

FPA of MN Book Club - Powered by the DEI Committee

Join us for a discussion on "The Color of Money: Black Banks and the Racial Wealth Gap," by Mehrsa Baradaran at Scout Workshop in Minneapolis. This book studies the crucial role that financial structures have played in creating and maintaining racial inequalities in the United States. Not only does it provide a valuable historical commentary on the relationship between wealth inequity and racial discrimination, it contains rich material on the political economy of financial institutions, the role of property ownership in perpetuating inequality, and self-help as an alternative to structural change.

Engage in meaningful conversations, share insights, and learn from fellow participants while enjoying a focused atmosphere and drinks.

No book? No worries! If you don't have access to the book, simply reach out to us at dei@fpamn.org, and we'll ensure you have the resources to fully participate.

Please RSVP to secure your spot!
