Hour 1 - Preparing to Act Rationally in the Next Anomaly...
Market anomalies can catch investors by surprise, causing investors to make investment decisions that are not commensurate with their investment objectives. Mr. Mooreland will cover three important topics that help investors better understand why these anomalies occur and what drives them. He will discuss the problem with economic forecasts and how to identify more accurate forecasts. He will also discuss the theory of probability and how uncertainty, luck and randomness pertain to investment returns. Finally, he will discuss the importance of helping clients develop the proper perception of the markets. Thus preparing them for the next market anomaly.
Hour 2 - Personality Driven Financial Coaching
Volatility is the nature of the stock markets. Excessive “noise” from media outlets permeates the financial media. This presentation will empower financial professionals to re-define their role as a coach and a teacher to help their clients make better investment decisions. Mr. Mooreland will cover four main areas that financial professionals can help coach their clients. He will discuss what needs to be coached, how it is to be done and the most effective methods to make sure that clients understand the message. Throughout the presentation, Mr. Mooreland will provide specific action items for advisers to implement.
